Blue Silk Knit Rosette Cardigan

Adorable robin's egg blue silk/rayon cardigan/top.

Purchased at Saks, the label reads "by Artisan."

Technically a cardigan, although obviously meant to be worn closed.

Darling fabric rosettes down the front, perfectly plain back.

Neat, classic, fitted. This is a size M, but it's smallish -- I'm a 32A and it fits me pretty closely.

Asking $25, which includes shipping (international shipping will be more). If interested, contact me at shine at austin dot rr dot com or by clicking on my profile above.

Stuart Weitzman Classic Black Patent Pumps

These are Stuart Weitzman Black patent "Lady" pumps, size 9.5.

They are a classic, classic shoe that will never go out of style. They have quite a long toe and a three-inch heel, which makes them sexy but not unmanageable.

I've had them for a few years but have only worn them a few times, so I think they deserve a home where they'll see a little more action. (The truth is, I'm just not a black patent pump kinda gal - I almost always go for a more extreme shoe.)

They're in great shape, there's not a ding on them.

Stuart Weitzman shoes are so well-made and beautiful, you'll be happy you have these in your closet.

Asking $65, which includes postage in US (international shipping is higher). For more details or to purchase, leave a comment here or e-mail me at shine at austin dot rr com.

Teal Maria Bianca Nero Dress, sz M

Oh, this is SUCH a pretty dress.

The bodice is velvet, and the sleeves and skirt are silk chiffon. (Click photos to make them bigger.)

Can I just repeat that? THE SLEEVES are chiffon. We all know how difficult it is to find a cocktail dress with sleeves, and this one is prettier than most.

And I've never worn it. This is another dress that I bought mid-weight loss because it was so fantastic, and it's just too big. It gaps through the bust (as usual), even with the ties snugged up as tight as they will go.

(Especially good with gold shoes, as you can see.)

The skirt is floaty and delicious and the lining is a super-soft knit jersey, so the whole thing is just super-comfortable and soft and easy to wear. The fabric combination makes this a dress you could wear year 'round.

So pretty. Now, this sheer top means you have to wear a strapless bra with it, but here's what I did:

I sewed in a couple of carriers for a strapless bra to go through, so you don't have to worry about your bra being exposed. It works, I've tried it. As you can see, I meant to wear the dress, but somehow I never did, and now it's too late. My loss is your gain.

Dress is a size Medium, which I'm translating to be a 6 or 8. Because of the construction, it's mostly about the bust fitting, so if you're interested, let me know & we'll talk measurements. Don't recall original retail, I think it was around $250. Asking $65, which includes postage in US (international shipping is higher). Pale Pink Ted Baker Sandals, sz 9

I adore these shoes, they are absolutely gorgeous, but they are too big. I bought them as an emergency back-up shoe for an event and they didn't have the size I needed and I liked them so much and I was in a bit of a shoe pickle, so I bought them. But they are too big.

They say they are 9s, but I think they're really closer to a 9.5 or a 10. As you can see in the top picture, I've put cushions in the ball of the foot (which will peel right out if you don't need them) to help take up some space, but they're still too big. Look at all the room behind my heel.

Speaking of heels -- look at this detail.

Oh, they're so pretty!! The knots are so unusual and the straps fasten right round your foot nice & securely, so they'd be gerat for walking & even dancing. The soft matte leather is somewhere between nude & pink -- I think they'd look especially gorgeous on someone with a dark skin tone, but these are just beautiful shoes any way you look at them.

I've only worn them once.

Ted Baker pinky-nude knot sandals, size 9 (9.5, really), in original box (no dustbags came with these shoes). I can't remember original retail on these, I think it was around $250. Asking $60, which includes postage to the US. (International shipping will be higher.)

Ivory Leather Ankle-Tie Pollini Sandals, sz 39.5

Great-looking ivory leather ankle-tie sandals from Pollini. I've had these for a few years now and I have never worn them. That is not because there is anything wrong with them. As you can see, they are perfectly lovely sandals.

Sandals that for some reason got tucked away in the back of the closet where I couldn't see them. I stumbled across them again a little while ago, but I still haven't worn them. I believe they should go home with someone who will allow them to fulfill their purpose and be shown off, walked about it, dangled while drinking a martini.

Because they're really very sexy shoes -- strappy yet classic. Like I said, I've had them for a few years, but I don't think there's anything about this shoe that looks dated. You wouldn't bat an eye seeing this on the shelves at Neiman Marcus.

The ankle ties end in cute little roll-ups, and the detailing on the insole is adorable. They come in their original box -- they never had dustbags.

See? Never worn. These are perfect summer shoes -- they'll go with all kinds of stuff. Made in Italy, European size 39.5, I'd say they'd fit an American size 9s pretty perfectly. Original retail (four or five years ago) was over $400 -- these days the average price point for a new pair of their shoes is in mid-500's. Asking $75, which includes postage within US. (International shipping will be more.)

Marc Jacobs Skirt

Beautiful black Marc Jacobs mixed-fabric skirt.

This garment is a production piece from Jacobs' famous and influential S/S 2008 "Backwards/Decontructed" Collection.

The skirt is made of an assortment of fabrics including silk chiffon, charmeuse, and gabardine suiting.

It is fully lined with an elastic waist. Zipper on front is functional, but it doesn't open up the skirt.

It has never been worn -- the tags are still attached.

Origial retail for this garment was $1300.

It was purchased on sale at a Neiman Marcus outlet store.

This is a great, wearable skirt from a lauded, directional collection by one of our most important current designers. This is an archivable garment -- any fashion collector should have a piece from this season in her closet.

The skirt is an American size 4. It is generously sized and would probably work easily on someone who usually wore a size 6. Any questions about sizing or measurements, please feel free to contact me. Asking $200.00, which includes US shipping charges. International shipping will be more, please leave a comment or e-mail if you're interested.

Adrienne Vittadini Boots

These Adrienne Vittadini boots are gorgeous.

Beautiful dark red leather with a very subtle reptile pattern .

And tiny, almost imperceptible gold dot detailing. (The toes aren't scuffed, that's just the glare from the flash.) Side zip.

There is a small nick in one heel which is hard to see unless you look closely.

Leather soles with rubber toe taps.

They are still in their original box and dustbag.

These boots are size 10 (European size 40/40.5). Any questions about sizing or measurements, please feel free to contact me. They are classic and will last for years. Original retail was $400. Asking $55.00, which includes US shipping charges. International shipping will be more, please leave a comment or e-mail if you're interested.

From Style Spy's Closet: Clothes

For inquiries on sizing, fabrics, details, specific measurements, or anything else, please feel free to contact me. (You can find my e-mail address in my profile here on the blog, or you can leave a comment after this post.) I can also provide more pictures if there's something you want to look at more closely. I'm somewhat flexible on the pricing for some things, so don't hesitate to drop me a line if you see something you like.

A.B.S. olive green/gold iridescent taffeta skirt with stitched-down pleats, attached sequined sash with bow, and green tulle underlayer. Absolutely adorable, this skirt will make you want to go dancing. Pairs beautifully with gold, ivory or burgundy. Size 6. Retailed for over $300; now $35.00, includes shipping.

Tessuto pink lace dress with full skirt, fitted bodice, spaghetti straps, grosgrain belt with bow. Fully lined. Absolutely adorable, and only worn once or twice. Would be perfect for prom. Size 8. Purchased at Neiman Marcus. Originally retailed for over $400, now $50.00, includes postage.

Really gorgeous, never worn Neiman Marcus brand bootcut black leather five-pocket jean. Bonded leather to resist bagging, lined to the knees, unhemmed. Really gorgeous pants, slick & sexy without being trashy. Size 12. Did I mention they'd never been worn? Retailed for over $400; now$60, includes postage.

Fantastic knit dress from BCBG. Beautiful brown & robin's egg blue colors, v-neck, self-belt that wraps around twice for extra waist definition. Size large. A really great dress that you can just throw on and look great in, then toss into the wash. What's better than that? $35, includes postage.

Very wonderful and beloved Anne Klein black gabardine car coat. I'm only getting rid of this because due to a major weight loss it is so big on me it looks like I'm a child playing dress-up. I absolutely LOVE this coat. Mid-weight, a topcoat for cool not cold weather. Fantastic easy-care poly gabardine with faux-leather trim at collars, cuffs, and around the pocket flaps. Trust me, you will wear this coat a lot. Still looks new, despite multiple cleanings. Please give this coat a good home so I don't feel bad about not wearing it anymore. Size large, which I reckon is a 10-12. $40, includes postage.

Really lovely silk chiffon Trina Turk tie-neck dress.

This is so beautiful. I have styled it with a black patent belt above, but it comes with a tie self-belt. No fastening other than the neck tie, it's a super-easy dress to wear.

This dress is a generous size 4, but it's too big for me, especially in the bust, and due to the way it's cut I simply cannot wear it. It's never been worn, actually, although I don't have the tags for it anymore. I think it would fit a size 4 with a larger bust than mine (which is almost anyone, I promise) or a size 6, maybe even an 8. There's room in the hips and the waistband is elasticized, so it expands. It has a delightful float to it -- the skirt is full enough to move without adding volume, and lighter than air. This is a great dress for spring & summer, but you can easily wear it into fall -- that neckline looks great under a blazer. Purchased at Neiman Marcus, this dress retailed for over $400. Now $60, includes postage.

Perfect day dress -- navy blue faux-wrap knit dress with a-line skirt and gold buttons on the epaulets. The shape & ease of a wrap dress without the worry of your skirt blowing open.

Inset waistband makes your midsection look teeny-tiny. I love this dress. It's been worn, but it's machine washable & still looks great.

Purchased at Nordstrom, IIRC. $25, includes postage. A bargain -- you will definitely get your money's worth from this dress.

Stay tuned, I'll be posting other things as I get the chance!
